Will she ever get here?

Saturday we spent much of the day at the hospital. Annacarmie got up hurting and felt Makenna's arrival would be that day. After arriving at the hospital we learned her blood pressure was too high. They monitored her for about 3 1/2 hours before deciding she was dehydrated and that was the cause of the contractions and general pain she was feeling. It was at that time they decided to let her go home with instructions to drink more water.

She still did not feel much better Sunday but by Monday she was some better. Tuesday at her regular doctor's appointment her blood pressure was still too high putting her into the high risk pregnancy category. For that reason she was sent to the hospital for a stress test. Even though her blood pressure was still too high the doctor did not feel at this point delivery was justified because she was still just short of 37 weeks. He is trying to put off delivery for a few more days if possible. However, he does not want to jeopardize her health or the health of the baby. For that reason before sending her home we were given a very specific list of things to look for. If they begin to happen she is to return to the hospital immediately. Makenna now weighs about 7.75 pounds.

If Makenna Kate continues to be stubborn and not make her appearance before next Tuesday Dr. Johnson told her to come to stay. We would have a baby. He would not let her go any longer because of the high risk.

Keep praying for Annacarmie's health as well as Makenna Kate.
