I do it myself

At 21 months old, Makenna had definitely developed her own little personality. She is a girly girl who is probably going to be a clothes horse. Mamma Kim missed her one day this week and found Makenna Kate in her room having a fashion show with all the clothes she had pulled from all the drawers in her room. Makenna loves her baby dolls and Dog-dog who goes with her everywhere she goes. Much of her day, each day is spent loving and kissing her babies and strolling them in the stroller if that is not a day she has decided the baby stroller is going to be her chair to watch tv. Puzzles intrigue Makenna and she can put every one together in no time flat. I am not sure a 21 month old should be able to do that but this one sure can.
Makenna is a very inquisitive little girl that wants to know how things work. She moves from
the ice machine to the bottom oven to the freezer door about 100 times a day. Now that she can open them she thinks that is so much fun to open them and put all her treasure in each one. Be sure to check oven before turning on, no telling what you may find.
Hopping and running are activities she has learned to do in the last month. Can I say energizer bunny, Makenna Kate. Every day she adds new words to her vocabulary with some of her favorites being; Daddy Bill, NO, Bye-Bye, Right Back, Mamma, G, boofball ( that is her uncle Will she is referring to) One word she says alot is Mac Mac, a nickname she gave herself. Now all the times she refers to herself as MacMac. The only reason we can figure she came up with that is Maggie and Mason call her Baby Mac and she changed it to suit herself. Don't you just love that strong willed personality coming out in ways that I might expect at 3 but not now. Ready or not here it is. Better quickly remember how to deal with a strong will in a child. All I can say is Lord help me and fill in the spaces where I am inadequate.
Ms Socialite loves Mother's Day Out at First Baptist Church, Tupelo and looks forward to going every Mon, Wed, and Fri. Mamma Kim looks forward to it also so she can get some work done. You see there is not any serious work getting done any other time because there is too much for Makenna to get into.
Fruit and vegetables are her favorite foods and the mainstays in her diet. She does not like meat and will not eat it most times. She does love her some chocolate just like the rest of her family. She has had whole milk since she was taken off of formula; however, it was the time we could change her to 2 percent milk. She does not like it nearly as well to say the least.
When we first gave it to her she would give the cup back and say milk. Well guess what little girl you might as well get use to 2 percent because that is all we buy now.
Developmentally she is just where she needs to be. I think her vocabulary is much larger than it should be but I am sure that is because she has been around adults her entire life.
Makenna weighs 24 pounds and wears 18- 24 month clothes and a size 5 or 6 shoe. A size 4 diaper is what she is wearing and we have hopes of getting her out of diapers soon if Mamma Kim and Makenna could ever stay home for a few days in a row to work on potty training. That has not been happening lately. Maybe soon.

My sweet baby girl where has the last 21 months gone? Do not grow up so quickly, I love you being my sweet baby girl that calls Mamma 1000 times a day.
