Yesterday was a fun day. Taylor and I celebrated her birthday. For as long as I can remember, when someone has a birthday, Mamma Kim and the birthday person spends the day together doing whatever the birthday person wants to do. We shopped, talked, ate and played. No one likes to eat at Chili's with Taylor; however, this was her special day and she could pick wherever she wanted to eat. That was Chili's. Not only could she pick where she wanted to eat but she could order anything she wanted to eat. That included an appetizer, qeueso and chips, then her favorite buffalo wings and to end the meal she had a chocolate molten lava cake which is to die for.
After completing the meal there was one more task at hand before heading to the gym for gymnastics. The most important task of all was opening her present. It is really hard to surprise a 13 year old but I was able to pull off a surprise this time. I knew she had been wanting a new purse. I told her mother not to let her buy one because I had something in mind. My plan worked perfectly. I wrapped the purse and the wallet I had for her. Taylor had called me earlier in the week telling me she wanted money to go toward a computer she is wanting to purchase. I placed the money I was giving her in the wallet. She opened the box and saw the purse. Excitement overtook her because she had not wanted to spend her money on a new purse. Finally she had a purse with out spending her money. Then she saw the wallet. She still did not know there was money in it. At this point she thought I had just given her a purse for her birthday and that was all. On opening the wallet she squealed when she saw the money for her computer. That kind of excitement over a gift makes me so happy that I able to give her something she wants.
Taylor is truly one of the blessings in my life and I thank God for that precious blessing. Happy Birthday, my precious Taylor.
