Easter Sunday
Sunday is here and the tomb is empty. He arose from the grave and Praise God He lives today. Celebrate Resurrection Sunday because He gave it all that man may know Him.

A long and unwanted absence
Life took an upside turn the last of May and at that time nothing seemed to matter except taking care of the basic necessities of life. For the following 6 months my life and the life of my family was consumed with some very severe issues. Even though it may be along time before these issues are resolved I am beginning to understand more and more each day the my God is in control and these issues did not take Him by surprise. Praise the Lord I do not have to face these very severe issues alone. I am looking with great anticipation to 2010 wondering just how God is going to reveal Himself to me this year and how He is to use me. I must remind myself daily that in order for Him to use me I must be available. That means letting thing go and being avaliable not matter what He asks of me. Yes, that is the hard part for me but I know "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Thank you Lord for that promise.
Today was a test of perseverance for me and I failed it miserably. Tomorrow is a new day and I pray for perseverance and patience with Makenna Kate even when I have told her for the 1000 time in a few hours no Makenna Kate that will hurt you. I love that precious baby with all my heart but by the end of the day I am exhausted from chasing her all day.

If one is good, two is better
Will cannot do anything is simple ordinary terms which reminds me so much of Pappa. The more endeavors he had his hands in the better he liked it. Evidently that was a lesson he taught Will and Will learned it well. Several weeks ago Will bought a Freight liner and a trailer to haul 9 cars. It has not run int the past few weeks as much as he would like; therefore, this week he bought him a box trailer so he can haul freight also. I wonder if this craziness will every stop.
The time is coming quickly when I absolutely refuse to do any more work for him. Titles, Insurance, and all retails sales is enough for me, after all I do have jobs of my own that I must perform. He seems to forget that when he needs something done. He has been wearing me and the fax machine out lately. I think he needs a wife who could be his secretary. No wait, that probably would not work because he is really hard to work for. He wants things done one way, his way and that is not usually the way things really need to be done. I do not back down and he will not often cross me because he knows it is not going to do any good. I am the final authority if he wants me to do the work. Can you see that control part of me coming out, as the kids say I am a "control freak."
Tonight has been a restful night for me which I desperately needed after a very stressful week in which I did not accomplish nearly what I needed to do and even stayed up later several nights to finish some things.
I have been really bothered this week by something I see in some people. Does loyalty and your word not mean anything in this day and time? I believe your word is your bond. If I say something you can believe even if I said it in haste I am going to abide by what I said. Why do some people have trouble standing by what they say or even being truthful in ever word that proceeds from their mouths. Things like that not only anger me but they frustrate and hurt me as well. Just do what you say you are going to do! Are we, as parents in the society in which we live, failing miserably at teaching basic character traits like truth, honesty, respect for elders, and loyalty to our children. It saddens me greatly to see this happening and I have made a resovle to do what I can to instill these traits in children that cross my path. Eventhough choosing the right way may not be the popular choice most times God calls us to the path less traveled, which I believe is the path I am referring to here. Although we may never see the rewards this side of heaven, a loving Heavenly Father sees and knows all our traits and if those traits are undesirable He is waiting for anyone who is willing to seek Him and He will change you little by little as the process of transformation takes place, little by little each day.

Life takes over
Will life ever slow down or get back to at least some sense of normal? It seems as if there are not enough hours in a day
to do all I need to do and I am getting less and less sleep because of it. Taxes are a curse. I have been working for the last three weeks trying to get everything together to file all the things the IRS has to have. Even though I am OCD, it still takes me weeks to put everything together. This is an unnecessary evil that could be avoided.
It does not help anything that I have taken on a new job--a volunteer job at that-- I really do not like jobs that do not pay but that is what comes with working for your children. Please understand I did n ot ask for nor did I want this job; however, Will does not trust anyone other than me to do things the way they need to be done so add into the mix all the things I have to do for myself I am now in the car business again and seem to be at Will's call whenever he needs something. I am trying hard to find him help other than myself, you know maybe like Annacarmie. Not sure if that combination would work or not but I am to the point I am willing to try anything. I do not like doing titles.
Makenna has had an ear infection that has kept us in the house for a week. I feel we have been very blessed that she is five months old and this is the first time she has been sick at all other than a runny nose. I feel sure that is a result of allergies. All the rest of us have allergies so how could she not have them also. She is growing and learning new things every day. At four months she began rolling over on her own. Now at five months she is trying her best to crawl. She gets on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth all the time. It will not be long before she will be mobile. I am not sure how I will contain her then. She has not teeth right now but it probably will not be long. She is chewing on everything in sight and drooling all the time. Blowing raspberries is a new thing she has learned. It is so sweet to see her laying there blowing bubbles and whatever she sees.
I know now how many things I missed as my own children were growing up. I was busy working and trying to take care of them, a house, and all the others demands of a young wife and mother. I have been reminded of that with Makenna. Those other things do not seem to hold near as much importance now as they did when I was younger. I make sure to take time to play with Makenna and let other things go. As you know that is very hard for an OCD person to do, but I can do it if it means spending time with sweet baby girl, Makenna Kate.
I do not know what has happened over the last few weeks but Makenna has decided she wants to wake up two or three times during the night for a bottle. It is killing me to have to get up that much. Any one got any suggestions as to what I might do to get her to sleep through the night?
I make it ok losing sleep for a little while but when it goes on repeatedly I begin to get very irritable. That is where I am right now. Please be praying for me to not take my irritability out on those around me.
I have begun a new Bible study, Discerning the voice of God by Priscilla Shirer, that is just what I needed; however, it has not been an easy study. If you ever get a chance to hear Priscilla speak in person do not miss the opportunity. God has been calling me out of y comfort zone and to a life of greater obedience to Him as a result of this study. Yes I want to live a life of greater obedience but it is so hard to do and sometimes I just want to give up. That is not an option as I was reminded as I studied. God has a plan for each of our lives and that plan is to prosper us and to give us hope and a future (Jer 29:11) and His plan will be complete in His time not mine. That is the hardest part for me to wait on His time. Several times over the last few months I have wanted to help His plan along in my time. Each time he has stopped me in my tracks and reminded me He is in control. Thank goodness He is in control because I know I would surely make a big mess.
Do the trials ever become less severe? I guess not for me because I am sure it is those trials and the difficulties that come along with them that keep me on my knees seeking my Lord.
Stephanie and the girls are on the way to Tuscaloosa tonight in order for Taylor to compete in gymnastics. I would have loved to go but I had already committed to fill in as a teacher in a Sunday school class. Taylor loves gymnastics so much, it is her life. Tay, I pray you have a good meet. Do your best and have a good time doing it. Love, Mamma Kim

Sweet Memories
Today I am reminded of how blessed I am as my phone rang numerous times this morning. Each of my children called wishing me a happy birthday. Even though they each have a busy life they did not forget to call, making my day a very special day from the beginning.
We began celebrating on Saturday night as Mimi, Daddy Bill, Will, Annacarmie and I ate at Agnew's in Baldwyn to celebrate Mamma Kim and Daddy Bill's birthday. The festivities continued as we can home to enjoy a butterfinger cake Mimi made. Annacarmie did an excellent job choosing a gift from her and Will. She picked pieces of Midnite pottery that perfectly complement my new kitchen. I loved it and cannot wait to display it. Annacarmie, my sweet child, you did an wonderful job as usual choosing just the right gift for your mother. Thank you. Now, I just have to sort through boxes to find the plate stands I am looking for to hold each of the pieces. Will, as usual you always pass the buck for choosing gifts to someone else. That is not a bad thing because you might choose something like a motorcycle or a car part or a gun because that is what you would want.
Daddy Bill and Mimi gave me money to go on a new laptop that I had been wanting for some time. As a matter of fact, that is what I am working on right now. I will use the laptop to take the Photoshop class I registered for yesterday. After finishing the class, I hope I will be able to do all the photo editing on my own pictures. We will see how that works out.
I will never forget the year I picked out my Christmas present from you. It was a beautiful rusted set of three wise men. To say the least you did not like. Even after the years that have passed I still love my bucket of rust.
Sunday night Stephanie and the girls along with Annacarmie, Makenna Kate, and Neil ate at Atlanta bread for my birthday. Stephanie bought me a beautiful pitcher and Neil painted me a canvas that I will use above my cabinets in the kitchen.
With all my birthday gifts I should have a good start on decorating my kitchen.
Tonight Craig, Bree, and the twins are coming over for dinner as we celebrate my birthday. I look forward to dinner tonight. I will update later about the night.
I think the dinner tonight will end my birthday celebrating. I really like the idea of my birthday going on for several days. I could really get used to this. Maybe that is why Annacarmie and Taylor like to drag out celebrating over a long period of time.
Thank each of you for all you did to make my birthday special and for all the wonderful gifts. I will be reminded of you each time I see the beautiful things you gave me displayed in my kitchen. It is the things each of you have given me over the years that are so special. They are reminders of my love for you and your love for me. I will always love you. Thanks for all the memories we have made together as a family. I look forward to making many more special memories that will bring laughs and tears as we remember them.

How can I get so far behind in so little time?
I am busy every day all day long but I can seem in a matter of a few minutes to be drowning in a sea of work. Being as OCD as I am things like that send me into a tailspin. That is where I have been the last few days. Have you ever felt like you were drowning and could not get above the water to get air? If you have I can totally understand. That is where I am and for the last few days I have been struggling with a migraine which really decreases my productivity. That left no choice,Saturday had to be a big time catch up day. It is 4:00 pm and I am not even half way through with what I needed to get done today.
I know stress brings on migraines and there has been quite a bit of stress at our house lately. I have got to get a handle on some of this so maybe the migraines will decrease in frequency once again. It had been years since I have had to deal with migraines until just recently.
The coming week does not look any better. I am trying to finish some loose ends from the estate and those things always take longer than I anticipate. Why is it that all those people John loaned money to think they do not have to pay me? That is very annoying to me. Now some of them will not even answer their phones. Would you call that screening their calls?
For over a year I have been trying to collect on these accounts even hoping a collection agency would be of help to me. Now the collection agency who is in that business will not even return my call. What is the problem here? Some times I begin to think is is me?
Why is it men think they can do what they want with women instead of what is right? I am dealing with a situation right now that makes me very angry because the person I am dealing with does not want to do what is right. I hope and pray that in every situation I am involved I would be a person of integrity who does what is right no matter how it hurts or how much it cost me. That is what I expect of all people, but all people do not hold the same values as I do. I believe your word is your bond. If I say something in haste then think it through and realize I should not have made the decision I made, I am going to stand by my word anyway no matter what it costs me.
Today has been a very trying day from every angle. Maybe it will get better because my family and I are going to dinner tonight to celebrate Daddy Bill and Mamma Kim's birthday. We will end the celebration back at our house for a nightcap of butterfinger cake. yum, yum it is so good especially when I do not have to make it.

All is quiet
After an early morning trip to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things I have been busy designing the rest of the day. Those quick trips to Wal-Mart and to run errands are probably a thing of the past for a while. I am planning my trips more now, getting up early and going before Annacarmie goes to school so we do not have to have Makenna Kate around all the germs present with large numbers of people. It was nice to be back home this morning before 7:45 am and already have picked up the items I needed. That way my day is not interrupted.
The Lord knew I had a lot to do every day with all the commitments I have and I believe that is why He gave Annacarmie a baby that up to this point has been very low maintenance. All she wants is to be fed and put back in the bed so she can sleep. Several times over the last few days I have had to wake Makenna Kate up to feed her. Is that a good baby or what?
Tonight on the menu is a recipe I have been dying to try, a pecan cobbler served warm with ice cream and caramel on top. I will let you know how it turns out. Sounded so good to me I could not get it out of my head so even though it is more labor intensive than I normally like to cook I am going to give it a try tonight.

A little excitment keeps things interesting
Excitement is nothing new to the Waddle house. There is always something going on or some catastrophe someone is trying to avert. Last night about 11 pm, I was already in the bed and had just about reached that state of peaceful sleep when my phone rang. It was my neighbor, Jenny and I heard the terror in her voice. After getting my eyes open enough to assimilate what she was saying I realized Greg was not home and her alarm was going off. She thought someone had broken a glass and was coming into her house. At that time I went into emergency mode and started calling waking people up. Greg called one of the neighbors and them along with Annacarmie and myself and the police went over there. Nothing was broken, no one was in the house and Jenny was loopy (she had already taken an ambien). After everyone left Jenny wanted us to check the house again before going home. We did that and she called the alarm company. You see she had been lying in bed and threw some books and pictures in the floor assimilating the sound of breaking glass and they assured her that is what set the alarm off. Is that not so Jenny? A life with out all the excitement would be a very dull existence.

Tree clean up and a new yard
The proverbial thorn in my side

Finally maybe the tree will no longer be a nightmare for me. Every few days a new limb falls. I wanted to wait a while before having the tree cut down. At this point I have not choice. It is getting dangerous each time the wind blows and I do not want to have to repair someone else's property because of damage I could have avoided. After several weeks of calling and leaving messages for tree services to call me back, I have finally found someone who will come out and cut the tree, haul off the brush, and grind the stump. He should be here today to begin. Yeah! Everyone else that knew me growing up is more worried about getting the tree cleaned up than I am. Mr. Bill Mears can rest not I have found someone to do the work. Every time I saw him at church he questioned me about it. It was because of him through Al Rice that I was able to find someone to cut it.
After the tree is cut, hopefully buy Tuesday, Tommy and his crew can get in here and install the sprinklers. The thoughts of having sod on the yard and not red sand any more really excites me. Maybe my cleaning and sweeping everyday will be cut down. I hope by next weekend to have my yard sodded. If that is going to be the case everyone better get busy. A beautiful new yard what a lovely though; however, I will believe it when I see it because the process has been so long in coming.
You all know me, I am definitely not a technological person. Annacarmie is not here and I wanted a picture on the blog. I did it all by myself. Aren't you impressed? All of you should be since you know unequipped I am when it comes to things like this. Well, I may be getting better. I got a new iphone, my old razer died after 2 years, and after only a week I can do more on it that I could on my razer after two years. Annacarmie is still being amazed. Imagine that.

It has been a while since I last posted. Life has been busy as I have been designing new scrapbook layouts and helping Annacarmie get the room ready for Makenna's arrival in August.
The entire month of July, Annacarmie will be taking a class at Ole Miss; therefore, what we do not get done before July 7 th may not get done. I am just wondering how the Sociology class will go as she has not been on a regular schedule for about 2 months now.
We have had more excitement as another large portion of a tree in our back yard fell. It was the same tree that broke a few weeks ago and hit the house. There was no crash this time and thank goodness it fell into what used to be a drive. No damage just more clean up for Will. He only finished cleanup up of the last limbs a few hours before. He thought I was kidding when I told him to get his chain saw out again. I guess it is time for the entire tree to come down as bad a I hate to see a tree that is 100- 150 years have to be cut down. I am now to the point I think that would be better that my house taking a direct hit. So, as if I had nothing to occupy my time I now have another project to take care of.
I have been trying since February to get my yard leveled and sod put out. Finally everything is dry enough, now the problem will be getting Kimbrough over here to do the work, I will have all this done before Makenna gets here one way or another. I can concentrate on this now that I have all the bedding and window treatments made with the exception of one in my bedroom and that one is cut out. All I need to do is stitch it up.This move and the process associated with it has by far been the most difficult of all moves we have ever made. I wonder if I will forget the misery of the move and be ready to move again in a few years. My children say yes and they are adamant they will not help. They do not like moving. I really like my house and where it is but I lived with a trader too many years and if someone wants to give me a profit I guess I would move again. Money has a way of making us forget the difficulties of moving.
I am going to post a recipe I have made many times before. It is a Weight Watcher's dessert that my family really likes.
Chewy Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars
2/3 c extra chunky peanut butter
1 (14 ounce) can fat free sweetened condensed milk, divided
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 c semisweet chocolate chips
Line an 8 inch pan with foil. Place peanut butter and 2/3 c condensed milk into a medium bowl. Microwave on High 2 1/2 minutes. Stir microwave another 30 seconds. Stir in vanilla. Spread in bottom of foil lined pan. Place remaining condensed milk into a bowl with chocolate chips. Microwave on high 1 1/2 minutes. Stir in vanilla. Stir until smooth. Pour chocolate mixture over peanut butter. Chill until firm. Cut into 20 pieces. Store in air tight container in refrigerator. Each serving is 3 points.
