Down hill side

We are going to have a party when we finally finish cleaning the garage and I just dare someone to put something in there that does not belong. Yes, I know the things in the garage are the things remaining from Jan 2008 when we moved into the house. Al lot has happened since then and I have been so busy and sidetracked that I have not been able to get motivated enough to clean it out and get rid of those things I did not need. Well the last few weeks I have been working on it but today both Annacarmie and I worked all day as hard as we could to see if we could not finish. We did not finish but I can say for sure we are on the down hill side and I could not be happier. A yard sale in May will clear most of the remaining stuff out. I just want to park my truck in the garage and have room Makenna's riding toys and not have to navigate an obstacle course when I go out the door. Where did all this stuff come from anyway? I am sure it could not all be mine.
Makenna was a real trooper today as we worked. She did not fuss and we were out most of the day. When she was in her walker I would pull her into the garage so she was not in the sun. As soon as I would turn around she was gone again out in the bright sun. We have not had little ones in so long I did not have sunscreen. That will be at the top of my WalMart list the next time I am there. Thank goodness she was able to be contained and did not sunburn. About 5:00 pm she was ready to come into the house. I think by then she had eaten all the dirt and leaves she could find anywhere around. Not only had she eaten all that she had rolled in the dirt and we grubby. The first thing on the agenda when we came in the house was a bath. Makenna had a full day and was definitely ready for bed tonight. I sure hope she sleeps better tonight than she did last night.
Last night was a tough night. Finally at 2:30 I put her in the bed with me thinking she might sleep better to no avail. She woke up numerous times and each time she woke up she would get right in my face and wake me up by sticking her tongue out and sputtering in my face. I usually play that game with her but at 2:30 am I am not interested in playing that game.
Yeah for me! I am going to be scrapbooking this weekend, something that happens very little now that Makenna is here. I had rather not even attempt because I am continually chasing her and getting her out of things. National Scrapbook Weekend will be a fun few days and a much needed change for me.
