A new best friend

My sweet Makenna has a new best friend and it is her bottle. I have tied several times this week to give her a sippy cup to get her used to drinking out of it because I know by 12 months the doctor wants her to be completely off the bottle. At this point in time I do not see a chance of that happening. When I gave her a sippy cup she would either throw it in the floor and cry for her bottle or throw it toward me. Needless to say this could be a battle of the wills. Who do you think has the stronger will?

When she sees me making her bottle she comes straight to me and sits at my feet whining until I get the bottle ready. The minute she has it in her hand or I put it in her mouth she is fine. This reminds me so much of her mother. She also loved her bottle, carrying it everywhere she went by the nipple. Her daddy took it away from her when she was 18 months old and she was mad at him for months, punishing him by ignoring him because he took her bottle aka security blanket. I was so hoping Makenna would not like her bottle like that; however, I am afraid she does. I guess I better get geared up and prayed up for the struggle, so I respond in the way Christ would have me to respond to our sweet baby.
