I want candy and I am silly

Silly girl, baskets are for holding your eggs, not for using as a hat.  Today was the Easter party and egg hunt at school.  Makenna was  excited to be able to find eggs for her basket.  The excitement increased when she found out there was candy in each egg.  The girl loves candy, chocolate aka chockie as much as her Mamma Kim does.
The children made their own Easter baskets for the Easter Egg hunt.  Each one was different and a work of art. I am quite certain they added ribbon to the handles of the girls baskets for Mamma Kim.  Everyone knows Mamma Kim loves ribbon and big bows for little girls.   I love to see the creativity of a young child and a teacher who encourages that creativity.  Thank you, Mrs. Amy.

After the excitement of getting to go to the fellowship hall to hunt eggs, Mrs. Amy planned a picnic lunch for the class.  A little rain did not deter the picnic.  They spread quilts out on the concrete,  under the portico, and had a picnic. That was not exactly the way Mrs. Amy planned for things to happen but the kids loved it and did not know that is not what was specially planned for them.  Makenna told Mamma Kim after school they had Cheetos, cookies and peanut butter sandwich.  Naturally, Baby girl ate the cookie first then the Cheetos.  She does not like kid food so she would not eat a peanut butter sandwich.  Makenna's choice of food is always the things adults eat because that is all she has ever eaten.

Not only did the kids have fun today, they also learned once again about Jesus and the celebration of his resurrection from the grave which allows us salvation.  Mrs. Amy is wonderful teaching the children these things we believe so strongly in and home.
Jesus is alive and the tomb is empty!
